We have officially started our expansion in India, marking a significant milestone in our global growth strategy. The move to India reflects our continued recognition of global talent and the country’s immense strategic potential to position our distributed SQL database to be used across the world.
To spearhead our growth efforts in India, we are pleased to welcome two exceptional leaders to our team.
Engineering Site Director Babu Srithar Muthukrishnan brings a wealth of technical knowledge and leadership experience, ensuring a strong engineering team in India is established. Babu will seamlessly integrate the Indian operations into the broader organizational structure. In addition, we have hired Director of Recruiting Anand Sudhalayam who will leverage their expertise to identify, attract, and retain top talent in India. By tapping into the local talent landscape, we aim to build a high-performing team that will contribute to developing a database for next generation applications.
“Over the last eight years, Cockroach Labs has created a tremendous team and product, putting them at the helm of changing how organizations manage transactional data,” said Jason Forget, President and CRO of Cockroach Labs.
“We are excited to grow into new regions to continue building on critical efforts in our development strategy like observability infrastructure, site reliability engineering, and other core areas in our database such as performance, scalability and exploratory testing.”
We are dedicated to investing in India and scaling a team with individuals who excel in their roles, align with our values, and contribute to our cohesive global team. It has always been my belief that by prioritizing culture and connection, we will build a diverse and inclusive workplace to fuel innovation and set us up for long-term success.
We look forward to embarking on this exciting new chapter in India.
